Drawn to the odd and the inexplicable, I have been capturing moments of intrigue and mystery through my paintings for my entire life - putting to canvas the strange characters and places lurking in my mind.
Weaving stories through brush strokes is my passion and purpose – leaving the context and meaning for the viewer to ponder. Capturing rare, dreamlike moments, my work seeks to take the you to a place you've never been before - places of curiosity, awe, inspiration – that is my motivation.My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
Among my influences are Surrealist masters like Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, Fantasy master Frank Frazetta, and Classic masters such as John Waterhouse and William-Adolphe Bouguereau. Elements of these and other greats have shaped my view of art and the approach which informs my style.
Primarily, I have worked in in oil and acrylic paints on stretched canvas. Over the last few years I have purchased an iPad Pro with the Procreate app and have delved into digital art as well, which I enjoy very much.
A lifelong artist, I studied art in both high school and college, though I ultimately graduated with a degree in Creative Writing, another passion of mine. I also had the privilege of teaching high school art at an International BaccaIaureate World School. That is where I realized that I wanted to make art my full-time pursuit in 2011. I've had a number of independent shows, including charity events.
